Corona accelerates digitization at Hartnack School

"Corona" changes the Hartnack School and the German language courses. Three months ago the face-to-face classes had to be stopped completely. Since this month, under the given distance and hygiene rules, a small number of language courses can be offered again at Nollendorfplatz.

Already in April, some language courses were moved to the Internet. The digital live lessons are well received, although many course participants also long for contact with the school, with teachers and classmates on site.
The online language courses at the Hartnack School are currently conducted exclusively from the "home office" of some language instructors, and as many as 30% of the participants are not in Germany to learn German as a foreign language.

"Corona" will accelerate digitalization and digital learning. In the end, a teaching landscape could emerge in which face-to-face and online teaching are equally strongly represented in the courses offered and which is rounded off by "hybrid learning", a combination of both forms of learning.
