The Content of BAMF Integration Courses
Our intensive integration courses comprise a total of 700 teaching hours. Of these, 600 hours are dedicated to the language course. Here, you will learn to speak, understand, read, and write in German. The focus is on everyday topics such as shopping, housing, children, media, leisure time, school and work, as well as doctor visits and health. After completing the course, you will be able, for example, to write letters and emails in German.
Following the language course, you will take the orientation course, which consists of 100 teaching hours. Its aim is to provide knowledge about German politics, society, the legal system, culture, and Germany’s recent history. You will learn everything about your rights and responsibilities in Germany.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Integration Courses
Would you like to learn more about our German integration courses? Feel free to contact us directly. Here you will already find answers to some important questions:
Do I have to attend the courses in person?
Yes, the integration courses take place on site at our language center in Berlin. Therefore, online participation is not possible. You can find us near Nollendorfplatz, which is easily accessible, for example by subway.
Do I have to take a placement test?
To determine your language level, you must take a placement test after registering. Depending on your level, you will then start in the appropriate course stage.
Is there a final exam?
After completing the language course, you will take the “German Test for Immigrants” (DTZ). Once you pass the exam, you will receive a certificate.
The orientation course ends with the final test “Living in Germany.” This test is also recognized as the naturalization test.
Would you like to take the exams with us without attending the course? We will be happy to provide you with an offer. Simply send us a message.
How will I find out if I have passed?
You will receive the results of the German test after four weeks at our service office. We will inform you by email once the results of the “Living in Germany” test have arrived.
The certificates are an important proof of qualification, for example for entering the job market.
