German for Medical Professionals

Preparation for everyday professional life, authentic documentation of an anamnesis, doctor's letter, physical examination, anatomy, specialized vocabulary, medication, abbreviations, conversation doctor-doctor / - laboratory / - nurse / - relatives, German health care system, exam preparation tasks (telc Deutsch B2-C1 Medizin).

Academic Health Professions

The Professional Language Course (BSK) Academic Health Professions is aimed at physicians from abroad who wish to prepare for the professional language examination of the Medical Association.

Study Preparation Courses

German courses for studying include the TestDaF preparation course, the TestDaF exam, the Studienkolleg preparation course and the DSH preparation course.

Orientation and Migration Courses

We recommend that all migrants seek advice from the migration services, e.g. the AWO. Caritas, Diakonisches Werk and other counseling institutions are also happy to support you. Cost absorption by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) is possible. Please note that the integration course will only take you to level B 1 according to the "Common European Framework of Reference". At the end of the integration course (max. 6 modules with 100 teaching hours each) an orientation course with 45 teaching hours follows. Here you will learn German history, culture and politics.

Test-DaF Preparation Course

The TestDaF is a recognized language certificate for university admission. It covers the CEFR levels B2 to C1+. The TestDaF consists of 4 parts: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. The performances are assigned to three levels: You have passed the test if you get the marks TDN 3, TDN 4 and TDN 5 (the top mark).
If you have passed the test with a grade of 4 in all four sub-tests, the certificate is valid as proof of language proficiency for admission to any university in Germany. The result is also internationally recognized as proof of your German language skills for scientific projects and academic professions.


The Hartnackschule Berlin, as one of the largest language schools in Berlin, conducts certificate examinations of A 1 and A 2, B 1 and B 2, and C 1 - C 2 in the field of "German as a Foreign Language".
